Hello the Members,
It is with a sad heart I inform you that our most senior member of the SASC, friend and colleague has passed away .
Our thoughts and prayers go to Debi and all of the family
Starting tomorrow the Mediatech show is taking place at the TicketPro Dome in Northriding, SACIA have an impressive 36m² stand which we’re using to keep members up to date on recent activities. We’re sharing the space with our alliance partners (IPO, SASC, Animation SA and the Event Greening Forum) and will be profiling our activities to members and potential members.
Some of the things we’d like to talk about over the three days of the show include:
1. The launch of new professional designations for specialist crew working in the content creation market (cinematographers, animators, editors)
Our application for the formal recognition of the SASC acronym has been approved by SAQA and we are now able, in partnership with the SA Society of Cinematographers, to award three professional designation to professional cinematographers/ camera operators. You can access the SASC Member’s Handbook at https://www.dropbox.com/…/SASC%20Handbook%20for%20Members%2…
